19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev secured his maiden title for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult period, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - led to him falling of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-term trainer Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship following the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt from spring of 2023.
The win also indicates he has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to secure a championship is particularly special," said tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his previous six finals, featuring in Halle in the past months.
The player's defensive strategy and frequent outbursts on court had led observers to question if his capacity to play at the top level was finished.
However the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to advance forward and perform assertively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.
He recovered from a break down in the initial set against the tricky opponent, taking 4 of the concluding five games to go ahead.
Both players swapped break points in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to force a third set.
Moutet defended four early opportunities in a tight deciding set before the champion secured a break to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, he secured the win with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to control a return after a lengthy match.
